Everything you need to know about interactive AR desserts.
iPhone users simply point their camera at the QR code on the cookie and tap the link β no app needed. Android users may need to download a free QR code scanner app.
Any video you want. Popular choices include wedding messages, birthday greetings, baby gender reveals, corporate brand videos, product launches, and event highlight reels. We recommend 30 seconds or less for the best guest experience. Copyrighted, explicit, or trademarked content is strictly prohibited. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any content you submit.
That depends on your baker and your event size. SugarReels packages are based on guest count β from small celebrations to large corporate events. Each package includes unlimited views for 30 days from your event date. Talk to your baker about what package fits your needs.
Yes. Each QR code can be scanned unlimited times within your 30-day event window. There are no per-scan limits during that period.
We recommend ordering at least 2 to 3 weeks before your event. This allows your baker time to print the cookies, upload the design and video, and receive the processed QR code back. Rush orders are possible but may have limited time for corrections.
Interactive desserts work beautifully for weddings, bridal showers, baby showers, birthday parties, graduation celebrations, corporate events, product launches, holiday parties, and any event where you want to create a memorable guest experience.
Use the search and filter tools on our directory page. You can filter by state and specialty. Many bakers ship cookies across the country, so location is not always a barrier.
Pricing for the SugarReels experience is set by your baker and is based on your guest count. Your baker will include this in their quote. Pricing for the cookie design and decoration work is separate and determined directly by your baker.
Any baker can sign up on SugarReels and use the platform to offer AR interactive dessert experiences to their clients. Our public directory currently features bakers who use Icing Images (Blue) edible printing products. If you use Icing Images equipment, apply through the Register Your Bakery page and your profile will be reviewed. Directory listings for additional printer brands are coming soon.
No. Any baker with any edible printing equipment can sign up for SugarReels and offer the AR experience to their clients. The public directory currently features Icing Images (Blue) printer owners, but all bakers are welcome to use the platform.
You upload your design image and video through the Print on Foods portal, use the Cookie Editor to crop the image and add the white border frame, download and print the cookie, then upload a photo of the actual printed cookie. Once submitted and paid, Print on Foods processes your order and returns a QR code within 48 business hours. The QR code is then printed alongside the edible image on the cookie.
We recommend at least 2 weeks before the event date. This allows time for printing, uploading, processing, and any corrections if needed. Orders submitted less than 2 weeks before the event are considered rush orders β less time is available for fixing issues.
Print on Foods processes orders within 48 business hours from the time of submission, provided the order is submitted by 5:00 PM PT. Orders submitted after 5pm PT, on weekends, or on holidays roll to the next business day.
Videos must be 30 seconds or less and under 50MB. Export in 1080p β not 4K. The video will be cropped into a circle in the AR experience, so keep main content centered. We recommend using a circle frame template in CapCut or Canva to preview how it will look before uploading.
No. Once the order is submitted, the cookie image cannot be changed. The AR technology links your video to that exact image β if the image changes, the video will not play correctly. A $25 change fee applies if a change is absolutely necessary after submission. Contact Print on Foods directly through the Messages tab.
The white border frame is intentional and required. It helps SugarReels identify and align the AR experience correctly. Do not remove or crop it out β the SugarReel will not work without it.
